Recordings stay on your device

The app requests microphone access when you record. Sound is processed in memory on your device and discarded after analysis. We do not upload or store audio recordings. Badge and score sharing does not include audio.

Accounts and sign-in

You can try sounds without an account. Google sign-in is available for invited beta testers. Supabase provides authentication and database hosting. It stores an internal account identifier and information supplied by your sign-in provider, which may include your email address, name, profile image and provider identifier. GasGuesser does not ask you to create a password. Authentication services may process technical and security logs.

Scores, history and leaderboards

Signed-in features store badge identifiers, score components, duration, timestamps and account identifiers. Your private history shows up to 30 recent saved results. Daily leaderboard sessions also store your home time zone, attempt reservations, measured-result metadata, deadlines and final choice to enforce daily limits and recover interruptions. These session records are separate from your 30-result history and are not automatically deleted when a history result rolls off.

Groups store founder and member identifiers, your chosen nickname for each group, invitation codes and membership status. Members see posted scores, badges, breakdowns and group nicknames; they do not see your recordings, private history or retry details. Only founders can view or reset invitations and remove members. Removed-member records help prevent rejoining. Anyone receiving a valid invitation can use it, subject to group limits. Members can still take screenshots or show their screen to other people.

Browser storage and shared links

The app uses browser storage to maintain sign-in and preferences. A pending invitation may be kept in the current tab’s session storage to carry it through sign-in. Older test versions may have left local demo data in your browser. Clearing site data removes local storage, but does not delete cloud records. Shared badge links identify the badge, not the account or recording. Invitation links contain a secret joining code and should only be sent to intended recipients.

Service providers and contact

Website hosting, Supabase, sign-in and email providers process information needed to deliver their services. Hosting requests can include IP addresses, browser information, requested pages and timestamps. If you contact support, we receive your address and message. We use it to help you and handle requests. Provider processing locations, logs and backup retention depend on the services and configuration used.

Ads and payments

This beta has no active checkout or third-party advertising integration. Local VIP previews and administrator-granted testing access do not create subscriptions. We will update this notice before enabling payments or advertising. We do not sell personal information or use this beta’s data for targeted advertising.

Retention and your choices

You can delete individual private-history results in the app. That does not reset daily attempt limits or automatically remove posted group scores or session records. Leaving a group removes your current shared scores there. Contact to request access, correction, account deletion or removal of other associated records. We may need to verify your request. Some records may be retained where necessary for security or legal obligations; backups and service logs may follow separate provider retention schedules.

Age and changes

GasGuesser is intended for people aged 13 and older. If you believe someone under 13 has provided personal information, contact us so we can address it. This is an entertainment game, not a health-tracking service. Changes to data practices will be reflected here with an updated date.
